Caltrain comes in first in the race to Bay to Breakers
Runners going to the Bay to Breakers race on Sunday, May 18, can conserve their energy by taking Caltrain to San Francisco.
Caltrain will provide two special northbound trains departing from the San Jose Diridon station. The first train will depart at 6:17 a.m., making all weekend stops until Redwood City. Then it will stop at the Hillsdale and Millbrae stations before expressing to the San Francisco station, arriving at 7:30 a.m.
A second special train will depart at 6:24 a.m. from the California Avenue station, making all local stops until San Bruno, then expressing to the San Francisco station, arriving at 7:25 a.m.
After arriving at the San Francisco Caltrain Station, participants can either walk or take Muni’s N-Judah or T-Third Street rail to the starting line. Passengers may return on any of Caltrain’s regular Sunday trains, which leave the San Francisco Caltrain Station at Fourth and King streets on the hour, until 9 p.m.
One-way tickets, Day passes or 10-ride tickets can be purchased at Ticket Vending Machines at the stations before boarding.
