Take Caltrain to Icer Air 2007 at AT&T park in San Francisco
Extreme sports enthusiasts should hop on Caltrain for the Esurance Icer Air 2007 on Nov. 2 and 3 at AT&T Park in San Francisco.
This year’s event will be hosted by Olympic gold medalist skier Jonny Moseley, and will feature big air urban skiing and snowboarding, freestyle motocross, skateboarding, BMX cycling and event a special showcase for wakeboarding. There will also be food, live music and interactive industry booths. Headlining the musical entertainment this year will be hip-hop artists Mos Def and Talib Kweli.
AT&T Park is just one block from the San Francisco Caltrain Station, making it easy to avoid the hassle and expense of driving and parking in The City. Caltrain will run regular train service on Friday, Nov. 2. The last weekday train leaves San Francisco at 12:01 a.m.
On Saturday, Nov. 3, Caltrain will operate hourly service, with an added special southbound train that will leave San Francisco approximately 20 minutes after the conclusion of the of the Icer Air event, or when full. Saturday trains make all local weekend stops between San Francisco and the San Jose Diridon Caltrain Station. The last Saturday train leaves San Francisco at 12:01 a.m. Open containers of alcohol will not be allowed on southbound trains after 9 p.m. following the event.
Caltrain is a Proof-of-Payment system. Tickets are not sold on board trains, but should be purchased at the Ticket Vending Machines on the station platforms. Passengers must possess a valid ticket or pass before boarding.
