Caltrain Sets a Course for Fleet Week in San Francisco

Friends, fans and veterans of the U.S. Navy can cruise up the Peninsula to San Francisco on Caltrain for Fleet Week 2007, Oct. 4-9. Avoid traffic and parking hassles in the City by riding the rails to see the sails.

Fleet Week events include a parade of naval ships, ship tours, a naval air show featuring the Blue Angels, a special fireworks show and a celebration on Pier 39, all along San Francisco’s waterfront.

Caltrain riders arriving in San Francisco can transfer to Muni’s N-Judah or T-Third lines across the street from the train station at Fourth and King streets. From the Embarcadero station, they can transfer to an historic F-line street car, which travels on street level along the waterfront to Fisherman’s Wharf.

Caltrain tickets must be purchased before boarding the train, and Ticket Vending Machines are available at all stations. For fare and schedule information, call 1.800.660.4287 (TTY 650.508.6448).
