Caltrain Offers Fabulous Weekend Service To SF Pride Festival
Bay Area residents headed to the 37th annual Pride festival
and parade in San Francisco, Saturday, June 23, and Sunday,
June 24, can avoid traffic and parking hassles by taking
Caltrain into the City.
The celebration events at Civic Center will begin on
Saturday at noon, and the first train arrives in San
Francisco at approximately 8:30 a.m. and each hour
afterward until midnight. The last train leaves the
city at 12:01 a.m. on Sunday morning.
Sunday’s parade will start at 10:30 a.m. at Beale and
Market streets, heading west on Market. The first
Sunday train arrives in San Francisco at 9:36 a.m.,
and the last train leaves San Francisco at 9 p.m.
In San Francisco, Caltrain riders can transfer to
the Muni Metro
across the street from the train station
at Fourth and King streets and take Muni to the Civic
Center station, less than a block from the festivities.
Caltrain is a proof-of-purchase system, tickets must
be purchased before boarding the train, and ticket
vending machines are available at stations.
