Cruise on up To Carnaval San Francisco On Caltrain
Let Caltrain help you avoid traffic and
parking hassles for the 28th annual
Carnaval celebration
in the City’s Mission District.
This two-day festival takes place Saturday,
May 26 and Sunday, May 27, from 10 a.m. to
6 p.m. each day.
Carnaval takes place on Harrison Street,
between 16th and 24th streets, featuring
food, Latin music and dance, arts and crafts
and other activities. On Sunday, the Carnaval
Grand Parade starts at 9:30 a.m. at the
corner of 24th and Bryant streets, where
it will proceed west to Mission Street.
From there, the parade heads north on
Mission down to 17th Street, where it
will turn east and flow into the
festival area.
Caltrain riders can get off at the
Millbrae Intermodal Station and transfer to
BART,
which will take them to the 24th Street station,
just a block from the festival site.
Caltrain offers hourly service on the
weekends. The last Saturday train leaves
San Francisco at 12:01 a.m., arriving at
Millbrae at 12:25 a.m. The last Sunday
train leaves San Francisco at 9 p.m.,
arriving at Millbrae at 9:24 p.m. Both
trains make all weekend local stops to
San Jose.
