Take Caltrain Rails to see the Sails at Fleet Week 2006
Friends and fans of the U.S. Navy can
board Caltrain and avoid traffic, as they
cruise up the Peninsula to San Francisco
for Fleet Week,
Oct. 5-9.
Fleet Week events include a parade of naval
ships, ship tours, a naval air show featuring the
Blue Angels, and a community disaster
preparedness fair, all along San Francisco’s
waterfront.
Caltrain riders arriving in San Francisco can
transfer to Muni’s N Judah line across the
street from the train station at Fourth and King
streets. From the Embarcadero station, they can transfer to
an historic F-line street car, which travels
on street level along the waterfront to Fisherman’s Wharf.
Caltrain tickets must be purchased before
boarding the train, and Ticket Vending Machines
are available at all stations. For fare and
schedule information, call 1.800.660.4287 (TTY 650.508.6448).
