Caltrain Offers Winning Service to THQ World Supercross GP
Caltrain outpaces the competition when it comes to easy and convenient
transportation to the THQ World Supercross GP Jan. 29 at SBC Park.
Peninsula motorcycle fans can avoid the hassle and cost of driving and parking by
taking advantage of Caltrain’s hourly weekend service for a smooth, comfortable ride
to the San Francisco station at Fourth and King streets.
From there, it’s just a one-block walk to SBC Park, or a one-stop ride on a Muni Metro
light rail car, across the street from the Caltrain terminal.
Caltrain offers 32 trains on Saturdays to get motorcross fans to the ballpark for any
of the events during the day; the last southbound train departs San Francisco at
midnight.
Passengers must purchase tickets before boarding the train. For schedule and fare
information, call Caltrain at 1.800.660.4287 (TDD only at 650.508.6448).
Caltrain is a tri-county partnership of San Francisco Municipal Railway, San Mateo
County Transit District and Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority. Caltrain
operates 86 weekday trains between San Francisco and San Jose, with commute-hour
service to Gilroy.
