Caltrain Board Swears In New Member
Stuart Sunshine was sworn in as the newest member of the Peninsula Corridor
Joint Powers Board, which oversees Caltrain, at the board’s last meeting.
Sunshine was appointed by the Municipal Transportation Agency board.
Sunshine, who has served in several key transportation and project management roles,
is the acting executive director of the MTA, which oversees the San Francisco Municipal
Railway and the Department of Parking and Traffic.
The Caltrain board has nine appointed members, three from each of the three counties
served by the commuter rail line. Sunshine represents the City and County of San Francisco,
along with Sophie Maxwell, who was appointed by the county Board of Supervisors, and
Jose Cisneros, who was appointed by the mayor.
The board of directors meets the first Thursday of the month at 10 a.m. at its Administrative Offices, 1250 San Carlos Ave. in San Carlos.
