Caltrain to Work on Tracks at Night
As part of an on-going maintenance program, Caltrain will be using heavy machinery
on the tracks this week and next week. Maintenance crews will be "tamping" and
"regulating" the track, which raises the outside rails and levels the track to allow
trains to maintain a smooth ride on the line and speed on curves.
The work is scheduled to take place on Tuesday and Wednesday this week and on Sunday
next week between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., when the majority of train service
isn't operating.
- Tuesday, June 22: near 9th Avenue in San Mateo;
- Wednesday, June 23 - Thursday, June 24: between Oak Grove and the Burlingame
Caltrain station in Burlingame; and
- Sunday, June 27: near Broadway in Burlingame.
This schedule is subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances. Caltrain regrets
any inconvenience this may cause.
