Caltrain to Work on Tracks at Night
Caltrain will be working on the train tracks over the next week to get them ready
for the new Baby Bullet service, which starts June 7.
Maintenance crews will be "tamping" the track, which raises the outside rails of the
track to allow trains to maintain speed on curves, at the following locations:
- Monday, May 31: near Bowers Street, Santa Clara
- Tuesday, June 1: near Taylor Street, San Jose
- Wednesday, June 2: near Millbrae Avenue, Millbrae
- Thursday, June 3: near Millbrae Avenue, Millbrae
- Friday, June 4: near Holly Street, San Carlos
The maintenance work is scheduled when the majority of the trains aren't operating
(from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.)
This schedule is subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances. Caltrain regrets
any inconvenience this may cause.
