Palo Alto Ticket Office to Close for Construction

The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority will soon begin seismic and other renovation work to the historic Palo Alto Caltrain Station. The work will require the closure of the ticket office, and Friday, Nov. 26 is the last day when it will be open.

Caltrain staff is sorry for the inconvenience during the construction, which is expected to be complete next summer.

An additional ticket vending machine will be installed on the southbound platform to accommodate passengers.

They are also encouraged to consider enrolling in the Ticket-By-Mail Program, which offers the convenience of automatic monthly purchasing. In addition to checks and credit cards, Commuter Checks also can be used to buy tickets by mail. For information, call 1.800.660.4287.
