Caltrain Timetable Changes; San Bruno Station to Move

Caltrain is adjusting its timetable on March 24 to reflect improved connection times for cross-platform transfers with BART at the Millbrae Intermodal Station.

On the same date, Caltrain will move back to its Sylvan and Huntington avenues station in San Bruno.

Caltrain solicited comments on the new schedule via e-mail, written mail and at three public meetings before instituting these changes. Train times will be adjusted between three and 12 minutes to improve connections between Caltrain and BART at the new Millbrae station, when BART begins service to the SFO extension later this year.

Caltrain's supplemental weekend service, known as Route RRX, will also be adjusted up to 10 minutes in the southbound direction. The RRX will begin serving the Millbrae station, when BART begins service but until then will continue serving the San Francisco, Hillsdale, Palo Alto and San Jose Diridon stops on the new schedule.

Caltrain temporarily relocated the San Bruno station to Huntington Avenue, underneath I-380 during BART construction.

When the station returns to its original location, shuttle service between the original site and the temporary location will be discontinued.
