Caltrain Takes Fans to the Diamond Bowl at Pac Bell Park

Caltrain will take college football fans to Pacific Bell Park on New Year's Eve for the second annual Diamond Walnut San Francisco Bowl. Colorado State takes on Boston College during this year's game.

In addition to its regular service, Caltrain will offer extra service for the bowl game, which starts at 7:30 p.m. An extra train will depart the San Jose Diridon station at 4:45 p.m. arriving in San Francisco about 6:20 p.m. In addition, Caltrain will add two northbound runs originating at 7:35 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. out of Diridon for New Year's Eve revelers headed to The City.

Following the game, the regularly scheduled train departs San Francisco at 12:07 a.m. Extra trains will depart when full and will make all local stops. The last special train will leave San Francisco no later than 1:45 a.m.

All Caltrain rides will be free on trains originating after 11 p.m., but riders boarding a train before that time will need to purchase a ticket from vending machines or staffed stations prior to boarding the train.
