Caltrain Takes Fans to the World Series at Pac Bell Park
Caltrain will take baseball fans to Pacific Bell Park next week for the World
Series pitting the San Francisco Giants against the Anaheim Angels.
In addition to its regular service, Caltrain will offer extra service for the
championship games Oct. 22, 23 and, if necessary, Oct. 24. The games start at 5 p.m.
Extra trains will run ahead of northbound Trains 71 and 73. Following the game,
extra trains will depart approximately 20 to 30 minutes after the last out, or when
full. Regular service trains depart San Francisco at 8 p.m., 9 p.m., 10 p.m. and
11:59 p.m.
Caltrain's starting rotation for the Series will offer something new for sports fans:
the railroad's new "Baby Bullet" rail cars will enter passenger service on Oct. 22.
The first Baby Bullet trainset will take fans to the ballpark before the first pitch,
as well run as an extra train after the game.
Purchase round-trip tickets at staffed stations or ticket vending machines before
boarding the train to Pac Bell Park.
