SAN FRANCISCO - MUNI
The San Francisco Municipal Railway operates buses and trains throughout
San Francisco, including a number of routes serving
the Caltrain station at Fourth and King streets.
SAN MATEO COUNTY - SamTrans
San Mateo County Transit District
operates buses throughout the county, connecting with most Caltrain
stations. Call SamTrans at 1.800.660.4287 for specific information.
SANTA CLARA COUNTY - VTA
Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority
operates buses and light rail vehicles, connecting to most Caltrain
stations in the county. Call VTA at 408.321.2300 (San Jose area)
or 1.800.894.9908 (toll areas) for specific information.
SAN FRANCISCO TRANSBAY TERMINAL
SamTrans,
AC Transit, Muni and
Golden Gate Transit
serve the Transbay Terminal. From the Transbay Terminal to Caltrain,
take Muni Route 15 or 42 on First Street for the short ride. From
Caltrain to the Transbay Terminal, take Muni Route 42 on Townsend
Street at the station.
SAN FRANCISCO BART CONNECTIONS
From BART to Caltrain, get off at the Embarcadero station and
transfer to Muni's N-Judah to Fourth and King streets. From the
Powell Street BART Station, board Muni bus Route 30 or 45 on Fourth
at Market Street for the short ride to the Caltrain station. From
Caltrain to BART, take the N-Judah at Fourth and King streets
to the Embarcadero station or ride Muni bus Route 30 or 45 to
Third and Market streets, then walk right on Market to the Montgomery
BART Station. Specific information may be obtained by calling

SAN FRANCISCO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
BART provides service to the
San Francisco International Airport.
Caltrain customers should board BART at the Millbrae station and ride it to the San Bruno BART Station, where they will need to board another BART train headed to the airport. All passengers must purchase a BART ticket before boarding.
SAN JOSE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
VTA SJC Airport Flyer (Route 10) takes you between the Santa Clara
Caltrain Station and the San Jose International Airport.
The Airport Flyer is free and operates seven-days-a-week every 15 minutes
from 4:30 a.m. until midnight.
MARGUERITE SHUTTLE
The free
Marguerite shuttle meets all weekday trains at the Palo Alto and California
Avenue Caltrain stations from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., with service to
Stanford University, hospital and shopping center. Call 650.723.9362

PENINSULA COMMUTER SHUTTLES
Commuter shuttles connect many Peninsula and South Bay stations
with employment sites. Shuttles are funded by the Bay Area Air Quality Management District,
Caltrain and private employers. For information, call Caltrain

HWY. 17 EXPRESS BUS
The Hwy. 17 Express Bus
offers service seven days a week from San Jose Diridon station to Scotts Valley,
downtown Santa Cruz and Soquel (limited service). Call

ALTAMONT COMMUTER EXPRESS - ACE
Altamont Commuter Express trains, commonly known as ACE, connect with Caltrain at the
Santa Clara Caltrain Station and the San Jose Diridon Station. Online ACE

or by calling 1.800.411.RAIL. Connections to/from Caltrain are not guaranteed.
AMTRAK
Amtrak train service to Sacramento,
the San Joaquin Valley, Los Angeles and Seattle connects with
Caltrain at the San Jose Diridon Caltrain Station. Call Amtrak
